On November 21st, the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in the Lake Tahoe area will host the Backcountry Ball, a party celebrating the opening of the Alpine Skills International’s Backcountry Adventure Center. This Center is the newest addition to Sugar Bowl, and should excite backcountry skiers from all over. It will feature tons of backcountry rental equipment provided by Truckee’s The BackCountry, avalanche and other backcountry educational seminars, and tours. Visit www.alpineskills.com for a full list of what they’ll offer.

As for the Ball, you’ll enjoy a great buffet dinner, raffles and prizes, gear exhibitions, a concert by The Crawlers and more! Avalanche forecasters from the Sierra Avalanche Center will be there, educating folks on avalanche awareness as well as selling $35 lift tickets for their benefit day at Sugar Bowl on March 28th.

To RSVP, email asi@alpineskills.com. Tickets are $15.
