Bode Miller surprises with GS training session on Vail’s Golden Peak

US Ski Team comeback kid, Bode Miller, showed up relatively unannounced today to Vail Mountain’s Golden Peak for some GS gate bash training.

Bode and the rest of the US Ski Team members such as Ted Ligety, Marco Sullivan, Steven Nyman and Scott Macartney, had been expected at Copper Mountain all week for training on the consistent snow known to Copper. With Copper Mountain’s impending sale to POWDR corporation, it’s possible that the deal struck a cord with Bode causing him to change his training plans.

Either way, after sustaining a bloody nose at last weekend’s World Cup slalom stop at Levi, it’s good to see Bode back out there charging it on Golden Peak.
