Snowboard World Cup ready for round three

The Snowboard World Cup heads to Stockholm, Sweden this Saturday, and it’s expected to be a great, tight, competitive challenge. Current stud Stefan Gimpl has the motivated and amped-up Gian-Luca Cavigelli breathing down his neck. Gimpl has won the other two competitions, but Cavigelli is right behind him, inching closer and closer to that top spot on the podium.

Don’t count out the Finnish riders either. In past years, they’ve dominated this big air competition in Stockholm. Peetu Piiroinen, Risto Mattila, Janne Korpi and Sami Saarenpaa are definitely forces to be reckoned with.

Gjermund Braaten from Norway is also inching toward the top spot, grabbing third in Barcelona. He’ll have to show something special to beat out the other great athletes. We’ve already seen some awesome Backside 1080 Double Corks, Front and Backside 1260′s and Backside Rodeo 720′s…so Saturday’s event should be pretty epic. They’re expecting almost 20,000 spectators to show up!

Stay tuned to for results!
