President of Europe named, duties unclear

Today, Belgium’s prime minister, Herman Van Rompuy, has been appointed the first “president of Europe” in a decision made by the leaders of the European Union. Apparently, their selection was unanimous for this position, which was established this month by the EU’s Lisbon Treaty.

CNN reports that the duties of President of Europe are unclear as of now.

Well, we have an idea. How about as one of his duties, he’s in charge of expanding all the ski resorts in Europe? Not that they’re not awesome already, but I think the President of Europe should fight for gargantuan improvements to all European ski areas. Perhaps this should be his sole job. Create more mountains. Make more snow.

Can you do that, Mr. Van Rompuy?
