The 8th Red Bull Nanshan Open is all set to go down in Beijing, China this coming January. This will, so far, be the largest Asian stop for the Swatch Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour this season. This should make snowboard fans happy over there, considering the cancellation of the Burton 2010 Asian Open Snowboarding Championships.

This slopestyle competition brings with it 25 grand and 550 tour points. They’re expecting only six local riders, and 18 international competitors to grace the Quicksilver Nanshan Mellow Park at Nanshan Ski Resort. Here’s one of those international riders, Peter König: “One of my top events – always so stoked to get an invite and would never say no. It is just an awesome time. You get together with all your buddies from around the world and the snowboard industry, meet in China and have the best seven days that will be in your memories forever.”

Rock it, Beijing!
