Mammoth impressing with early season ‘Unbound’ terrain parks

As I mentioned in my article from this past weekend, Mammoth Mountain is really kicking into full swing right now. Winter really feels like it’s here when your up there riding, and their snow conditions are improving daily. The resort has been cranking “the guns of peace” like crazy, all in an effort to make your experience on the mountain positively more enjoyable.

As many of California’s ski resorts are just now opening for this weekend, Mammoth’s early opening has positioned them to be able to set the bar very high for the other California resorts to compete.

One of the things Mammoth is well known for is their amazing terrain parks. When Mammoth’s Unbound Crew is clicking on all cylinders, I really don’t think anyone can touch them. While they might not have the luxury of all the early snow like Keystone or Breckenridge right now, they have been gearing up the parks, and frankly they are awesome.

Check out this new edit of some recent park action going down on Forest Trail:

The boys had the Forest Trail Unbound Park rocking since last week, but now they have begun to add features in the famous Main Park.

Features added in Main Park:

Table-top style jump

Down Rail

Quarterpipe Box Wall Ride

Box Top Rail

Lift Tower

For added snow stoke, I leave you with this drool-inducing picture of Main Park from everyone’s favorite Mammoth Snowman. Check out his Discover Mammoth website for tons of additional photos of Mammoth’s latest conditions and an awesome video snow report.
