Salomon recalls ski bindings

Hey, did you buy some Salomon or Atomic bindings from September 2008 to October 2009? Well, Salomon USA has just announced a voluntary recall of several models of both brands of ski bindings. Apparently the toepiece releases unexpectedly, making injury more likely. Two reports of injuries have already been reported to Salomon (broken leg and knee injury).

Here are the Salomon models being recalled: LZ 7, LZ 8, LZ 9, LZ 7 SR, LZ 8 SR, LZ 8 SC, and J LZ 9.

And the Atomic models: Evox 2.8, Evox 2.8+, Evox 2.8++, and FFG 8.

If you have any of these and bought them in the time stated above, go ahead and return them. You’ll get a free inspection and replacement of the toepiece.

For more info, call Salomon USA toll-free at (877) 789-5111 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. MT Monday through Friday, email qualityinfo.usa@salomon-sports.com, or see them online at www.salomon.com or www.atomicsnow.com.
