U.S. Snowboarder Louie Vito kills it on Dancing with the Stars

You’ve got to love athletes, and here’s why: Weeks after getting voted off Dancing with the Stars, U.S. Team Snowboarder Louie Vito and his partner Chelsie Hightower delivered an encore performance on the show’s season finale. And not only did Vito remember his smooth moves, he threw in a little ‘freestyle’ action, and launched a full-twisting backflip—from the standing position. Not only that, but Vito capped off the dance with a back handspring and another high-flying flip.

Very cool.

Fellow Utah resident Donny Osmond won the crystal disco ball trophy, but Vito stole the show. (In fact, Osmond sang while Vito and Hightower danced.)

Now Vito will be shifting gears, and taking his flips back to the halfpipe. The X Games star will be training the end of this week at Copper Mountain, in preparation for the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix.
