Hurrah! As of two days ago, skiers and snowboarders in the southeastern region of the United States can get their season started!

After some solid natural snow and prime snowmaking conditions, North Carolina’s Sugar Mountain and Cataloochee Ski Area are open for business. This is the 40 year anniversary for Sugar.

Cataloochee was only open for the weekend and will reopen for weekday skiing on December 4th. Joining them on the 4th are Snowshoe in West Virginia and Camelback in Pennsylvania.
