In order to make sure the maximum number of people can participate, Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont has decided to reshedule their food drive to Sunday, December 13th.

Here’s something else they decided to do: if you donate at least three non-perishable food items, a new child’s toy or new clothing item at the drive, your lift ticket for the day will go down from $35 to $25. It’s like getting paid to be charitable.

In addition to putting on this Cares and Shares Food Drive, Okemo is also donating 100 frozen turkeys to families in need.

“We want to make sure every family in the Okemo Valley has plenty to eat this holiday season,” says Okemo Events Manager Liam Fracht-Monroe. “This is a great way to get our guests involved in the local community and it’s a great way for Okemo to play a part.”
