Killington, like so many other resorts in the East, was saddened to announce that their annual ‘Rails to Riches’ rail jam will be postponed to December 12th. The event had been scheduled for this Saturday, December 5th, but the unseasonable warm weather has just not allowed them to ensure proper snow conditions for an event of this magnitude.
The rail jam, which features a large $15,000 prize purse, had attracted competitors from as far away as Utah. Sadly, this means some of those plane tickets that had been booked for the original date, might turn out to be useless for those entrants. However, Killington has announced they are working hard with the airlines to hopefully resolve these cases.
Here is the schedule and prize purse breakdown for the event happening Dec. 12th on the ‘Lower Highline’ at the K-1 base.

8:00 – 9:30 a.m. Bib pickup at K-1 Lodge
10:00 – 10:30 a.m. Practice for riders
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. Rider qualifier jam
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Bib pickup (skiers only) K-1 Lodge
12:00 – 12:30 p.m. Practice for skiers
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Skier qualifier jam
1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Competitor lunch
4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Skier and rider jam finals

After Party
Join us for the official Rails 2 Riches after party at Outback Pizza at 8:30 p.m. on the Killington Access Road. Competitors will receive complimentary pizza, Red Bull and admission. The Rails 2 Riches finals will be playing along with a DJ and Red Bull drink specials all night long! 18+ with a valid ID to enter.
