Snowboard prodigy Charlie Trout lands frontside rodeo 540

Watch out Shaun White – there’s a new sheriff in town. Charlie Trout, an 11-year-old snowboarder hailing from Los Angeles, successfully landed a frontside rodeo 540 over the Thanksgiving Weekend while vacationing in Sun Valley, Idaho.

The highly technical, dangerous move requires the rider to complete a full back-flip in the air, while at the same time rotating 540-degrees.

Trout has clearly been taking advantage of the newly-formed partnership forged between terrain park management company, Snowpark Technologies (SPT) and Sun Valley Resort.

The folks of SPT are the same legendary outfit responsible for crafting and manicuring those pro-level parks seen on television during major contests such as The Winter X-Games, US Open, and the Winter Dew Tour.

If Trout keeps progressing at his current rate, it won’t be too long before we see him competing in those very same venues.
