After an impressive showing at the 6Star Billabong Air & Style 2009/II at the Bergisel Stardium Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, Slovenia’s rockstar snowboarder Marko Grilc moved to the top spot of the Swatch TTR World Tour of snowboarding. His switch backside double corked 1080 sealed the deal for him.

“This is the best day of my life by far. I never even thought that this could happen. I am just very stoked” said Grilc after winning the prize. “I went to Australia and New Zealand and then today I am Number one. I don’t even know what to say. It came out of fun and pleasure and now I am here and I am stoked.”

In the final round, famed boarder Peetu Piiroinen came out with a backside double corked 1080 which landed him in second place. Andreas Wiig gave us a clean frontside 1080 double flip which gave him a third place spot.

The TTR Tour will resume in Norway over the New Year’s weekend with the 6Star Oakley Arctic Challenge. Following that, we’ll have the 6Star O’Neill Evolution in Davos, Switzerland and the women have the 6Star Chicken Jam Europe at the beginning of January.
