Coping off the success of such TV shows as Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County/New York/New Jersey/insert rich town here, cable network VH1 is set to launch a similar show entitled “Secrets of Aspen.”

The show will follow the lives of 6 single women living in one of America’s most expensive zip codes. The series has been ordered for 8 half-hour long episodes.

“This is a new and exciting show for VH1 that is a great fit for our audiences,” says Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, VH1. “Aspen is a town very much on the pop culture radar, but this show goes beneath the glamorous surface and into the real lives and relationships of some of the women who call Aspen ‘home.’ The town’s remote location, the seasonality of its residents and all the pleasures and pressures of wealth give this city its own unique set of rules.”

The premiere is set for January 3rd, 2010 at 10:00 p.m. But for those who can’t wait that long, you can catch a sneak peek of the season’s first episode on VH1.com and on VH1 Mobile on Monday, December 28 – six days before the on-air premiere.
