Kirsten Texler has joined the Crested Butte ski resort as public relations & communications manager. A true ski industry expert, Texler brings to Crested Butte a wide range of experience as a communications and public relations liaison in both professional and personal capacities, as well as an infectious passion for snow sports.

A Colorado native with an 18-year career history in the ski industry, Texler most recently has contributed editorially to on-line and print publications. Her stories and blogs have been published widely across the ski and resort industry. Texler also has represented several ski product companies and resorts in broad scale advertorial campaigns, leading to a direct increase in customer flow from publication readership.

In addition to her editorial work, Texler holds a PSIA Full Certification in ski instruction.  Through the process of becoming a ski instructor and resort representative for Vail Resorts, Inc., she was frequently assigned opportunities to act as an ambassador at ski shows and as a group organizer/leader for familiarization trips and other corporate projects. Texler received both recognition and awards for her excellence in company relations.

Texler also founded and operated a corporate event organization company called Key Link, Inc. From small group corporate meeting planning to full-scale promotional events such as Camp Jeep (off-road coordinator, 1998), Key Link, Inc. served as a representation of Texler’s energy and passion, and her ability to see projects through to fruitful completion.

Texler’s background also includes a B.A. in communications from the University of Colorado and a Master’s degree in education from Regis University. To round out her diverse professional interests, Texler also served as media coordinator while touring and performing as a figure skater with the Ice Capades, and as a school teacher in Alaska.

“True to my personality, I promise to bring an appetite for challenge and growth into my new position as public relations and communications manager with Crested Butte Mountain Resort,” added Texler.

When not at the resort, Texler enjoys seeking out adventure with her six-year-old son Christopher. The Texler family recently moved to Crested Butte and has enjoyed becoming part of the larger family at CBMR.
