The Biggest Loser winner, Danny Cahill, can now ski with family

The winner of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” this season is Danny Cahill. Danny made history, losing the most weight of anyone on any season of the show–dropping 239 pounds to go from 430 to 190. Impressive.

He is proud of himself and overjoyed at the bonds he’s formed with his family during this journey. “My family means the world to me and they are the reason I started this journey. They’re the reason I filled out the application for season 6 and 7 and 8.”

The 40-year-old can now expect to live many more years than he could have originally, and he can also expect to participate in many more activities. Of course, our minds over here went to skiing. There are definitely cardiovascular and muscle strengthening benefits to skiing and snowboarding, but we’ve had some people email us asking if there’s a weight limit on ski lifts and skis themselves?

From our knowledge, an average, typical ski lift can carry about 700 lbs up the mountain, and if you’re overweight or obese, just make sure your skis are nice and stiff in order to support you to the fullest extent.

If anyone else can shed some light on this subject, prove us wrong of whatever it may be, feel free to throw up a comment.

Congratulations again to Danny Cahill!
