Killington ‘Rails to Riches’ drops coin as LJ Strenio grabs first, Compton in second, and Wesson rounds out top three

Well after being delayed for a week, Killington was finally able to host their annual “Rails to Riches” jib contest for skiers and boarders on Saturday December 12th. The contest set-up really brought out the best from the event’s competitors as they laid down their most technical runs on the three varying features.

The features included an up-flat drop style box, a single barrel urban rail, and a nice double kink.

The competitors unleashed a flurry of spins, pretzels, and switch-ups en route to establishing the final riders. In the end, it would be a list of usual suspects on top of the podium.

KOS qualifier and Rage Films superstar LJ Strenio would walk away with the over-sized novelty check of the night, earning a cold $3000 cash. In second place would be Ian Compton who just brought clean, stylish riding to a whole new level on the rail features. Rounding out the podium would be Will Wesson, who makes 360 switch-ups all too easy.
