Infamous mountain KT-22 to open at Squaw Valley today

KT-22, one of North America’s best-regarded chairlifts, is expected to open today in Squaw Valley near North Lake Tahoe, CA

After the Sierras were pounded with upwards of 5 feet of snow, the resort has been able to offer amazing conditions and add new terrain offerings.

“These are absolutely some of the best early winter conditions we’ve ever had,” said Tourism Director Andy Chapman of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association. “The past two storms have really set us up for the holidays and a long ski and board season.”
