Lance Armstrong tackles diabetes

Aspen ski resort resident Lance Armstrong has another enemy to fight and that is diabetes.  This week Armstrong’s livestrong.com website added a feature called MyPlate D which helps users track their diet and exercise.

The web app was developed for people with type 2 diabetes to help them break down food to its nutritional components tracking many variables including tracking insulin use and glucose.

Armstrong said his main reason for the new web app was that he wants to make a difference with the nations fastest growing health problem.

If the Aspen resident has a lifelong Aspenite, Kate Hudson in his sights again – the timing is pretty good as reports are saying that Kate and A-Rod are done.  Armstrong and Hudson dated and spent time at the Palisades Tennis Center in Pacific Palisades which is managed out of The Ski Channel offices.
