Dr. Chris Young of the state medical examiner’s office was quoted by Noelle Crombie of The Oregonian as saying Luke Gullberg died of hypothermia, that even though Gullberg survived a long, slow fall, he was able to walk and crawl several hundred yards.  His injuries constituted only “minor trauma, but nothing lethal.”

Clackamus County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Meyers will decide with other search coordinators what the plan will be for Tuesday.  The plan will be made after talking with the crew of the Blackhawk helicopter and eight skiers who searched today.  The skiers were all members of the Crag Rats, and they arrived back at Timberline Wy’East Day Lodge shortly after 2:30pm after conducting a search of Illumination Saddle and Crater Rock.
