The Ski Channel television network (you’re on their website now) has added another huge distribution deal adding hundreds of thousands of viewers in the most dense US markets for ski/snowboard/mountain sports interest.

“Our goal is to deliver high-quality programming that our customers want and expect.  Because The Ski Channel is extremely targeted to our customer base, it is a perfect fit and we’re pleased to provide this exciting channel to our custormers,” said RCN Strategic External Affairs and Programming Senior VP Richard Ramlall.  “Now, they can watch their favorite Ski Channel shows when it’s convenient for them by selecting the VOD button on their remote or tuning to Channel One.”

With the added households, The Ski Channel is in approximately 25 million US television homes.  “Our mission is to grow mountain sports,” said VP of Programming Rich Tavtigian.  “The content on The Ski Channel is so spectacular to look at, our proposition is solely based on getting it in front of as many millions of people as we can.  You watch the shows and immmediately pick up the phone and start calling your travel agent.  So the fact that we have picked up these homes in these markets so saturated with skiers is fantastic.  This is a big win for skiing and snowboarding.”
