Avalanche survivor tells story of swimming to stay above flow

Back country conditions are ripe with danger right now in Colorado.  An early season weak layer of faceted snow has yet to bind with the most recent snowfall.  Thankfully warmer temps this week have helped the new layer settle a bit.  At Loveland Pass, a snowboarder was half buried after an avalanche and he tells his lucky-to-be-alive story to the local news.
