It was founded in 1925 by Walter Chrysler.  Today, Chrysler is digging itself out of Chapter 11.  In October, Olivier Francois of Fiat was named the new CEO of Chrysler after Italian carmaker Fiat acquired a 20% stake in Chrysler.

If success does come for Chrysler, Francois believes part of the reason will be because of his experience in the marketing and selling of skis.  Quoted in an article by Greg Gardner for Freep.com, Francois talks about his time selling skis in the middle of the desert, Dubai.

“That was not the best place to sell skis, but it was the beginning of the first indoor ski resorts over there.  As I learned back then, in selling anything, you need luck.”
