Many injured as plane overshoots runway in Jamaica, Errol Kerr OK

You may have heard in the news that late last night, an American Airlines jetliner overshot the runway at Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica. Authorities are reporting 91 injuries and thankfully no fatalities.

We received many emails asking if Jamaican skier Errol Kerr was on that flight and if he is OK. We’re not sure why people thought he was on that flight, but we’re here to clear the air and say that Errol is fine and was not on that Boeing 737 that went through a fence and skidded over a roadway.

American Airlines stated that the cause of the botched landing had to do with part of the landing gear collapsing, and an engine on the right side of the plane falling off the wing.

We hope all the injuries are easily and quickly treated.

Speaking of Errol Kerr, on Friday our new movie about him premieres on The Ski Channel. Click here to watch the trailer.  When you watch the film on Christmas day, pay attention to the super smooth and silky voice narrating. Yea, that’s me.
