Looking to participate in a massive torchlight and fireworks parade on Thursday evening? Thursday evening is of course, New Year’s Eve.

If you’re interested, head over to the Alta ski resort in Utah and donate a can of food for the Utah Food Bank.

Once skiers have done that, they’ll head up on the Wildcat and Collins chairlifts between 5:15 and 5:45 on Thursday, and then by 6, the parade will take place down the mountain. You must be at an intermediate level of skiing to participate. You’ll be provided glow sticks or flashlights, and are recommended to bring a headlamp.

Ring in 2010 in style…on skis!
