Snow likely this week in Mammoth

By midweek, there’s at least a 60% chance that snow will hit Mammoth. No better way to ring in the new year than with some great skiing in a great ski area. We’ve just released a new show about Mammoth on our channel, scroll down to watch the trailer.

Here’s a detailed 7-day forecast for Mammoth, from the National Weather Service:

Today: A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tonight: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 17. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 19. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18.

Thursday: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 40.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22.

New Year’s Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 43.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 44.
