Momma don’t let your babies grow up to be volleyball players.  More than three weeks after rolling his ankle while playing a “friendly” game of volleyball, Bode Miller continues to be hampered by the injury.  The 32-year-old has been ruled out of this Wednesday’s World Cup slalom race in Zagreb, Croatia.

Miller has been in San Diego rehabbing the injury while continuing to ramp up his conditioning.  Pool time anyone?

U.S. ski team coach Sasha Rearick has announced that Crystal Mountain‘s Paul McDonald will replace Miller on the start list.  The other Americans are Ted Ligety, Jimmy Cochran, Tim Jitloff and David Chodounsky.
