The arctic freeze that has hit most of the country, especially the Southern part, is still in place and is wreaking havoc on air travel and has even led to weather-related deaths.  Temperatures are at record lows, and at least 400 flights at Chicago’s O’Hare airport were cancelled today due to bad weather.  The National Weather Service is also anticipating a dangerous mix of ice and snow in the Southeast, as temperatures are already 10-35 degrees below normal.

The cold weather hit last weekend, and has been blamed for seven deaths across the country.  The cold weather has been great for ski resorts, as they have been able to make snow and keep their bases deep.  If you are in an area of these record low temperatures, make sure you bundle up appropriately, or just stay inside.  More tips are available above in the video from CNN.
