Jackson Hole Weekly is reporting that avalanche victim Mark Wolling remains in critical condition at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Wolling was swept off a cliff in an avalanche yesterday. The 57-year-old was conducting avalanche control early on Wednesday morning when he and his partner triggered the avalanche.
First responders could not detect a pulse after uncovering Wolling from under six feet of snow. A pulse was soon after detected at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort clinic. Known as “Big Wally,” Wolling has been a ski patrolman for 20 years.
