A 20-year patroller of Jackson Hole, Mark Wolling died this weekend from injuries suffered in an early morning avalanche last week.  On Thursday Wolling and his partner triggered the avalanche while performing avalanche hazard reduction work in the Cheyenne Bowl.

The memorial for Wolling, known locally as “Big Wally,” will be at the Mangy Moose Saloon in Teton Village on Wedneday.  Friends and family will meet for a private service at 5:30pm, and a memorial service open to the public will take place at 6:30pm.
