This week, a solid storm brought over a foot and a half of fresh powder to the Lake Tahoe area, and more snow is expected to come Sunday.

Tourism Director of the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, Andy Chapman, said “What has already been a stellar winter is getting even better. North Lake Tahoe’s ski conditions are phenomenal, especially with this last round of snow. It’s all perfect timing for visitors, many of whom will be enjoying a three-day weekend.”

This weekend promises to be a jam-packed one full of great skiing and great fun in the Lake Tahoe region. The Olympic Heritage Celebration is still going on (click the link to read more about that), there’s a jam-style competition at the Burton Jiblet Stop at Diamond Peak on Saturday, and there’s a Winter Camping Excursion with Tahoe Rim Trail too. So take your pick of activities, and enjoy the fresh pow in Tahoe this holiday weekend!
