The Winter Dew Tour raised $4,225 last month in Breckenridge during the first stop of the tour. They’re giving all this money to Vail based charity, SOS Outreach. From The Summit Daily News: “On pace to serve more than 4,500 youth across the nation in 2009-2010, SOS Outreach is a Vail Valley-based nonprofit organization that builds character and self-esteem in youth though outdoor activities and the SOS curriculum. After merging with Meet the Wilderness a year ago, SOS Outreach is now a year-round, perennial organization that includes activities like rock climbing, teams courses, hiking and camping in addition to its core snow sports. More information can be found at sosoutreach.org.

Working in conjunction with the Winter Dew Tour for the past two years, students enrolled in SOS programs were given the opportunity to become Winter Dew Tour brand ambassadors, working with the marketing team to promote the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and throughout the surrounding areas. In return for their help, SOS Outreach participants experienced the Winter Dew Tour during the Totino’s Open, including a meet-and-greet with Breckenridge local and snowboard superpipe athlete Steve Fisher.”
