Conan O’Brien’s staff feels betrayed as they all head for unemployment

The other day, we expressed our opinion that, in a nutshell, Conan O’Brien really shouldn’t be complaining considering all the money he’s getting by losing “The Tonight Show”. Just think of the kind of ski chalet he can buy!

Well, we got several comments and emails berating us for not mentioning his staff who will now be unemployed.

You know what? You guys were absolutely right. We didn’t think about that, and now, mirroring your comments, stories are coming out about how betrayed Conan’s staff feels. These people uprooted their lives, their families etc to move from New York to Los Angeles…and now they’re all unemployed.

The staff feels if Conan hadn’t let his ego get in the way, they’d still all have jobs. An insider reports: “They all uprooted their lives and their families’ lives to move to LA for him, and now they feel like they have simply been forgotten. There are 200 people losing their jobs while he walks off with a payoff worth $30 million. The mood on set and backstage is dismal.”

What a crap situation.

Any thoughts?
