In Nendaz, Switzerland yesterday, Canada’s Michael Lambert took home his fist snowboard World Cup victory by winning the parallel giant slalom. He beat Austria’s Andreas Prommegger for the win. In third was another Austrian, Benjamin Karl, who now leads the overall standings.

In those overall standings, Canada’s Jasey Jay Anderson is second, and Michael Lambert is now third.

For the women, 2007 world champion Ekaterina Tudegesheva (so fun to say that name) took the victory for her second career World Cup win. She beat Nicolien Sauerbreij of the Netherlands, who now leads the overall rankings.  Germany’s Amelie Kober was leading overall, but her ninth place finish yesterday knocked her down and gave Sauerbreij the lead.
