On Sunday, snowboarder Danny Davis was admitted to a Utah hospital after suffering an ATV related injury.

It is now being reported that he has suffered a spinal fracture and will definitely miss next month’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver.  However, with the bleak news comes positivity. Doctors operated on Danny Monday and are “positive Danny will make a full recovery”.

Danny joins Kevin Pearce in missing the Games…both athletes were expected to bring tough competition. Danny upset Shaun White earlier this month with his stunning three double corks in a qualifying event. In fact, Kevin Pearce once also upset Shaun White in competition. This weekend, the American Olympic snowboard team will be finalized.

We hope Danny’s recovery is swift and full. He will be missed in the Games.
