Kikkan Randall, Kris Freeman and Andy Newell are the headlining acts for your 2010 U.S. Olympic cross country ski team! These three, along with five other strong athletes, are sure to bring some pride and strength to the U.S. Olympic circuit.

Randall is considered to be the country’s strongest cross country skier. She will always be remembered as the first American woman in her sport to reach the podium at the world championships or Olympics (she won the silver medal at the worlds last year).

This is Freeman’s third time visiting the Olympics, and Newell’s second.

The U.S. Olympic Committee still has to approve this list of athletes, but this is the likely list:

Morgan Arritola, Ketchum, ID
Caitlin Compton, Minneapolis
Kris Freeman, Andover
Torin Koos, Leavenworth
Andy Newell, Shaftsbury
Kikkan Randall, Anchorage
James Southam, Anchorage
Liz Stephen, Montpelier

Athletes are picked based on World Cup results.
