Basecamp To Big Sky Introduced This Season: The Perfect Place for Newcomers and Locals to Get the Answers

BIG SKY, Mont. — Upon arrival at any new ski resort, it can be difficult to navigate between all the activities and buildings from rentals, snowsports school, ticket sales and other services. Big Sky Resort has answered the call with the introduction of the Basecamp to Big Sky located in the former Discovery Center, directly at the top of the main entrance stairs.

Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day, the Basecamp is staffed with professionals who can map out locations and answer any questions. The Basecamp isn’t just for newcomers to Big Sky, they’ll be able to provide answers for conditions, lift status, events and live music choices.

Some of the activities coordinated through Basecamp include ski and snowboard lessons, zipline, bungee trampoline and Wellness Center Packages.  Furthermore the staff can plan vacation activities in the greater Big Sky Area such as Snow Coach tours of Yellowstone National Park, The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, backcountry skiing and exceptional dining to name a few.

“It’s tough enough to plan the perfect vacation or short-stay-get-away that will keep everyone in the group interested, much less excited,” says Christine Baker Activities Coordinator at Big Big Sky resort.   “At Basecamp, the experienced staff will be able to help you plan something for everyone on everyday of the vacation.”

Big Sky Resort welcomes all guests to check out the newly remodeled building that features a comfortable living room setting, with a toasty fireplace, leather couches, maps of the area and a large screen T.V. The Basecamp is one of Big Sky’s many initiatives in providing friendly, useful and welcoming experiences for first time visitors.
