The Ski Channel at SIA Snow Show Day Three

We are back at our on-location set at SIA Snow Show in Denver for day three of the biggest event in snow sports retailing, riding, and all things that get us out and in the snow. We are still rolling strong after an exciting afternoon yesterday where The Ski Channel was joined by Jeremy Jones, Chris Davenport and Chris Steinberg to talk about keeping our winters.

All three great all mountain rider’s came together on our panel to talk with our host and CEO, Steve Bellamy, about climate change from a skier’s and snowboarder’s perspective and the things we can do to keep our outdoor playground. Jeremy Jone’s foundation POW (Protect Our Winters), is a non-profit organization which began after his shocking first hand observations of slowly watching our winter playgrounds disappear. Jeremy and his partners of North Face feel very passionate about spreading the awareness of POW and providing solutions to the problem at hand. And to prove this point, Jeremy kindly invited us to the POW and North Face booths for the screening of their new awareness film “Generations” on the Transworld big screen.

After checking out the films and interviewing the contributors we headed back to our home base to regroup before heading to Denver’s Mile High Station for the SIA Wu Tang Clan concert. The concert was put on my Nike 6.0 and surrounded us by footage of Shaun White’s double corks while listening to some ol’ school hip hop.

Today, we are back at work with two new on location panel shows. This morning we gathered a panel of snow magazine superstars. On set we had Mike Federle, group publisher at Bonnier (Ski, Skiing, Warren Miller), Barb Sanders, publisher Snow Magazine, Brad Fayfield, owner Freeskier and Snowboard Magazines, and Chris Jerard, publisher of Freeskier Magazine.

Right now we are gearing up for our second panel of the day focusing on the ski film ‘biz.’ On our stage as we speak sits Todd Jones , owner and director for Teton Gravity Research, Michael Brown owner and director for Serac Films, Corey Gavitt of TGR and our very own filmographer, Sean Flannery (known for his snow work and his days shooting music videos for some of the biggest pop stars in Hollywood.)

The day rolls on with lots of interviews and stories to come including interviews with the owner and creator of INDO boards, general manager of Zinka, and owner and creator of FUEL clothing.
