After months of tough mental debate, the Queen of Speed Lindsey Vonn chose the winning artwork for her O

lympic helmet design contest. Clearly, it’s a win-win situation.

Laddie Lee Whitworth of Pocatello, Idaho took the grand prize with his sporty blue, white and orange-y red creation. Whitworth won a free vacation to Vail, and the honor of having Vonn compete in the Vancouver Olympic Games wearing his design.

As for Vonn? She’s stoked about the looks of her new headwear.

“The winning design is by Laddie Lee Whitworth, a 60 year-old Native American who designed something that represented ithe Olympic flame,” Vonn said in a video on the NBC Olympic Web site. “It’s really dynamic and looks like the flames are flying by really fast. It’s really simple and basic but you can see the speed as I’m skiing down with the helmet.”

Vonn will first officially sport her helmet on February 14th for the Olympic women’s Super Combined at Whistler.
