Olympic medal hopefuls from US Snowboard team training in Aspen

                                           OLYMPIC MEDAL HOPEFULS FROM US SNOWBOARD TEAM TRAIN IN ASPEN

Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. – With the competition ESPN Winter X Games just days past, there are only nine days left until the 2010 Olympics, US Snowboard Team athletes are focusing on last-minute training in Aspen.

Mike Jankowski, head Coach for the US Snowboard Team, ”The Winter X Games halfpipe at Buttermilk always delivers great moments. We saw some of the best runs ever here just last week and the team is continuing the momentum as we get ready to head to Vancouver.”

US Snowboard Team Olympian hopefuls including Shaun White, local Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, Scotty Lago, Louie Vito, Elena Height, Greg Bretz and Hannah Teter. All will be training in the 22” Buttermilk pipe starting Tuesday February 2nd through February 6th.

“After a great X Games, I’m excited our final training camp before the Olympics will be in my hometown of Aspen. The Buttermilk pipe is one of the best in the world and it’s nice to be around my family and friends before we head to Vancouver, “said Gretchen Bleiler.
