Erik Fisher out of Olympics

In the world of super crappy, skier Erik Fisher will not race in the Olympics tomorrow.  Due to weather, today’s final training run was canceled, and Erik did not have another opportunity to show the coaches his potential on this hill.  With the training run getting canceled on Wednesday, missing a gate yesterday, and the final training run canceled today, he was not selected to race on Saturday.

There were many who thought this race and Fisher’s style were a match that could bring about an Olympic medal, but, unfortunately, a horrible set of circumstances deprived him of that possibility.  He will be walking tonight in the Opening Ceremony, and he thanks everyone for all the support and well wishes he has received during his quest to race in Vancouver.
