Women’s Olympic downhill training cancelled…again

The weather in Whistler has been throwing the alpine events, and already two scheduled events–the men’s downhill and women’s super combined have been postponed.

Officials planned to run the women’s downhill training today (there needs to be at least one official training run before the event), but again cancelled due to snow conditions. Currently, in Whistler Village, the skies are clear, though it was raining and snowing overnight.

The men have already had one training run, and the official Olympic downhill event will run tomorrow, Feb. 15. The women’s downhill training and super combined have yet to be rescheduled.
