Even if you’ve just earned an Olympic gold medal, you can still get pulled over by the cops for speeding…Swiss ski jumping phenom Simon Ammann learned that yesterday as he flew down a speed trap en route to a television interview following his Olympic victory.

The cops showed no mercy to the Olympian, fining him about 138 Canadian dollars. Amman won his third gold medal on Saturday on the normal hill. It was the first medal of the Games. The cops really didn’t care though.

“Suddenly, the sirens wailed behind us,” Ammann said. “I thought they wanted to overtake us. But the sirens were for us.”
