There are several who criticize U.S. Snowboarding champion Hannah Teter’s bikini photos in Sports Illustrated. Click here to see her in the magazine. The 23-year-old Vermont native is defending her choice to appear in the magazine, and claims “the pictures are a little risque but they’re totally not sexual”.

Critics say Teter has exploited the Olympics by posing for the magazine, “turning the Olympics into some kind of sexual thing”.

Teter told Reuters, “I don’t believe in the criminalization of bodies and women having to be ashamed of their bodies. That’s just so wrong. Bodies are beautiful and should be appreciated.”

In other Teter news, she has promised to donate all her contest money this season to help Kenya. She has also joined the recovery effort in Haiti as $5 from each pair of underwear sold through her merchandise website will go to Doctors Without Borders for their efforts in Haiti. Her website is sweetcheekspanties.com. The goal is to raise $100,000 by May.
