2006 Olympic snowboardcross silver medalist Lindsey Jacobellis was hoping for redemption in Vancouver, but a mistake high up on the course during the semi-finals caused her to ride through a panel, disqualifying her from the round.

Jacobellis was trying to pass Canadian Maelle Ricker to take the lead, but instead caught her toe-side edge and lost control. The best Jacobellis can now do is fifth, and the worst she can do is eighth. Regardless, Jacobellis is out of the medals.

UPDATE: Lindsey ended up finishing in fifth place. The gold medal went to Canadian Maelle Ricker, and silver went to France’s Deborah Anthonioz. Ricker’s gold is the second Candian gold medal of these Olympic Games.
