As we reported earlier today, rescuers resumed their efforts to find climber Joseph Bohlig, who fell into the crater of the volcano on Mount St. Helens on Monday.  Unfortunately, that effort has come to an end, as Bohlig was found dead today by a rescue team.  Bohlig was at the edge of the crater on Monday when the cornice he was standing on fell apart, and he then fell 1,500 feet down the inner wall.  Once of his fellow climbers, Scott Salkovics, said he could see him, and then he “just disappeared.”  Bohlig was a veteran climber, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and loved ones.
