Stratton Mountain School’s Spencer Shaw and Shelby Simpson on podium in Copper

Copper Mountain, Colo.–Stratton Mountain School’s Shelby Simpson ¹10
finished in third place at the FIS Copper Revolution Tour Halfpipe event on
Feb. 9, and Spencer Shaw ¹11 clinched second place in boys’ Slopestyle on
Feb. 10.

Simpson’s third-place spot is her second podium finish in a Revolution Tour
event this year. She won the Mount Snow Revolution Tour stop in January. Her
two podium results have put her on track to qualify for the 2010 Junior
Worlds Championship.

Shaw earned second in the slopestyle event at Copper and added another
Revolution Tour podium this year. On Monday, Feb. 8th, he finished in fourth
place in the Men¹s Halfpipe. Similar to Simpson, his results have put him on
track to qualify for the 2010 Junior Worlds Championship.

Eric Beauchemin ¹10 earned fourth place in the men¹s slopestyle event, just
behind Shaw. For the girls, India Stephenson ¹10 earned her best result of
the season with a fifth-place finish. Kiley Kennedy ¹12 took sixth place in
the event and Serena Shaw ¹13 clinched eighth place.

Jacqueline Hernandez ¹10 finished fourth in the Revolution Tour
Snowboardcross event on Feb. 6. Hernandez recently won a NorAm stop at
Copper on Jan. 19.

The Revolution Tour will stop at Boreal, Calif., and Mount Hood, Ore.,
before naming the overall winner. Stay tuned for more action from the pipe
