Michael Phelps tries the bobsled on for size

Michael Phelps, at the Fairmont hotel, distracts with his puffy silver jacket over a dark suit and tie as the girls scream his name to get a photo. Across the street, he tries a red bobsled on for size as the crowd leans in against a metal railing for a better look.

Phelps, a 14-time gold medalist, has paid a visit to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.  Seeing these athletes in action reminds him of his own final run at the Olympics two years ago and inspires him to push toward a fourth Olympics.  Phelps watched the United States beat Norway 6-1 in men’s hockey.  ”Being able to see and hear the guys going up against the boards was incredible,” said Phelps, seated just four rows from the ice.   “Being able to see the speed of the game, it was amazing, I definitely want to go back to see the U.S.-Canada game.”
