The US Fish and Wildlife Director, Samuel Hamilton has died of a heart attack while on a ski trip at the Keystone ski resort.  The 54-year old civil servant had chest pains while at the ski area on Saturday and went to the Keystone Medical Center where he died later that day.

Hamilton is remembered for the work he did to help restoration of the Everglades which is the largest ecosystem restoration project in the country.  Always sad to see a good man go down.  Super sad when they go down at a ski resort.  Hopefully he got some great runs in before he left.

Hamilton had served on this post since September 1st.  No word on funeral arrangements at this time.
