In addition to her title as a SuperBabe of Snow, Ashleigh McIvor can now add Olympic gold medalist to her list of accomplishments.  Last night at Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver, McIvor, who is from Whistler, became the first Olympic champion in women’s skicross, which gave the home country of Canada its sixth gold medal of the Olympic Games.  Hedda Bernstein of Norway took second and Marion Josserand of France took the bronze to round out the podium.  McIvor got in front of the pack early and stayed away from her competition, which proved to be the gold-medal winning formula.
